Volunteering

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!

During National Volunteer Week (NVW), from April 19 to 25, 2010, the Dr.Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital Foundation, the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Regional Hospital and its patients jointly say, thank you!

Thank you is such a small sentence with which we want to express our deepest gratitude. Throughout the year, each one of you helped to give smiles, provide relief to patients and their family members, and give peace of mind to our patients of all ages and from every corner of the province. Thank you for the countless hours you gave to our patients and to their family members, for helping out with our numerous fundraising events, and for taking on our committee’s responsibilities. Thank you for wanting to give so much of yourselves so others may benefit from an improved quality of life. For all this and so much more...thank you!

Louie Surette
Executive Director

Thinking about volunteering? Over and above the generous act of helping others, you also have the opportunity to grow as a person.

  • Learn while helping others
  • Gain self-esteem
  • Discover your strengths and talents
  • Make new friends
  • Help patients in need

Volunteering means giving thanks. It means joining a team which, through efforts large and small, improves the life of the people they serve with compassion.

The Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital Foundation is privileged to count on the support of volunteers who help improve the lives of patients by organizing fundraising activities in their respective communities.

Each year, many people organize events benefiting the Foundation, either for the Tree of Hope campaign, for a specialized service offered at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Regional Hospital or for a major campaign.

So you’d like to organize an activity? We encourage you to read the Fundraising Guide by clicking on the proper link. You will find information and tips which will help you plan your next fundraising activity.
